You are not lacking motivation.
You care, you show up, and you put in the work.
And still, too often, you do not feel as certain in your training as you should.
You finish a session and wonder if it is enough, or whether it is building what you actually need.
You look at your week and are not fully sure what matters most.
You try to learn from good sources, but the more information you consume, the harder it can become to know what actually applies to you.
That is frustrating.
Not because you are lazy or inconsistent, but because you are trying to apply broad advice to a sport that is highly nuanced and deeply context-dependent.
Trail running and ultras are not plug-and-play. You are not training in ideal conditions or in a vacuum.
You are training in real life — with terrain, fatigue, weather, work, recovery, and all the moving parts that make simple answers less useful than they sound online.
Trail running and ultras ask for more than toughness. They ask for judgment.
And judgment is hard to build when you are left alone to sort through endless content, mixed messages, and generic recommendations.
That is why the issue is often not effort.
It is clarity.

There is no shortage of training plans, podcasts, articles, apps, and advice available to athletes today.
And many of them can be useful. But usefulness is not the same as fit.
Because even good information still leaves you with the hardest part: figuring out what matters most, what applies to you, and how to adjust when real life changes the picture.
A generic plan cannot account for your terrain, fatigue, life load, or how your body is responding.
A podcast cannot tell you what to prioritize in your current week.
And endless content can easily leave you more informed, but not more certain.
That is why the usual approach often falls short. It gives you information, but not enough coaching context to build real judgment.
And while full 1:1 coaching can be a powerful solution, not every athlete needs that level of support.
Many trail runners and ultra athletes need something in between: more guidance than doing it all alone, and more accessible support than full 1:1 coaching.
That is exactly why I created the
Endurance Coaching Lab

More support than doing it alone. More accessible than full 1:1 coaching.
The Lab is a coaching and education membership for trail runners and ultra athletes who want ongoing guidance, practical learning, and a smarter way to train. At its core is a weekly live Lab, with access to the growing library of past sessions so the learning keeps building over time.
It is designed for athletes who do not want to keep piecing everything together alone, but who may not need or want the intensity of full 1:1 coaching.
Instead of more noise, you get coaching that helps you understand what matters, apply it to your reality, and make more confident decisions week after week.

Inside the Endurance Coaching Lab
You get ongoing coaching and practical education designed to help you train smarter, make smarter decisions, and keep progressing over time.
A Weekly Live Lab
A focused coaching and education session where we dive into the questions, topics, and challenges that matter most to trail runners and ultra athletes.
Access to the Full Lab Library
You are not starting from zero. You get access to past Lab sessions so you can revisit key topics, learn from what is already inside the membership, and keep building your understanding over time.
Trail- and Ultra-specific Guidance
The Lab is built around the real demands of your sport — from training structure, terrain, and race preparation to fueling, recovery, strength, and mindset.
Practical Coaching that Helps You Apply What Matters
This is not just more information to consume. It is support that helps you understand what applies to you, ask better questions, and make smarter decisions in real life.
It does more than give you information. It helps you build judgment.
The Lab works because
And in trail running and ultras, judgment matters.
It matters when you decide how hard to push, what to prioritize, how to adjust for terrain, fatigue, weather, life load, or race demands, and where your energy is best invested right now.
That kind of judgment is not built in one session or from one good post. It is built over time — through repeated exposure to the right ideas, practical coaching context, and the chance to keep connecting what you learn to your own training and racing.
That is where the Lab works differently. With weekly live Labs and access to the full library, you are not constantly starting from scratch. You keep learning, revisiting key ideas, and deepening your understanding over time.
You are not just consuming information.
You are learning how to think, apply, and decide for yourself with better judgment.

The Endurance Coaching Lab is for trail runners and ultra athletes at different stages — from newer runners to more experienced athletes — who want more than generic advice, but do not necessarily need full 1:1 coaching.
WHO IS IT FOR
It is for athletes who are curious, committed, and willing to learn. People who want to better understand their training, ask better questions, and build a stronger ability to navigate their own training over time.
You do not need to be racing or chasing podiums to belong here. And if you are, this Lab is built to support you too. If trail running matters to you — as a challenge, a practice, an adventure, or an investment in yourself — this Lab is for you.
The Lab is for those who want to do this well: with an open mind, real intention, and a willingness to apply new ideas. Serious about the process, yes — while remembering that enjoyment, fun, and meaningful time out there are part of what makes it worth it.

The Lab is probably not the right fit if you are looking for a magic formula, a shortcut, or a fully individualized 1:1 coaching relationship.
WHO IT IS NOT FOR
It is also not for athletes who want to stay passive in the process — consuming information without reflecting, experimenting, or applying.
The goal of the Lab is not to make you more dependent on outside input. It is to help you become more capable of understanding, interpreting, and managing your training over time.

Inside-the-Lab Clips
Quick clips from real Lab sessions—so you can feel the coaching style, pacing, and topics.

The Endurance Coaching Lab grew out of a need I kept seeing over years of coaching.
MEET YOUR COACH
Again and again, I saw trail runners and ultra athletes who did not necessarily need full 1:1 coaching, but did need better guidance, better context, and a place to keep learning over time. The Lab was built to meet that need.
Over 15 years of coaching, my work has spanned trail running, endurance, strength, and human performance. Alongside that, my own athletic journey includes more than 50 podium finishes. I have worked with athletes at different stages — from those new to the trails to those pursuing bigger performance goals.
The coaching lens behind the Lab is simple: help athletes better understand what they are doing, why it matters, and how to make stronger decisions in training and racing over time.
ELEVATE YOUR GAME
The kind of progress this coaching supports
Over the years, I have seen athletes grow in many different ways.
For some, it starts with becoming more consistent, learning to fuel better, training with more calm, or finally understanding why they are doing what they are doing.
For others, it looks like real progression in the sport:
Completing a first ultra, building from 30K to 50K to 100K, returning from injury and training more intelligently, improving race execution, reaching the podium, or setting a new FKT.
And sometimes the biggest shift goes beyond performance.
It is the athlete who stops shrinking from their potential, moves beyond impostor syndrome, trusts themselves more, and starts showing up with more confidence, clarity, and purpose — both in sport and in life.
That is the kind of coaching the Lab is built on.

Who I have coached
From newer trail runners to recreational ultra runners, from athletes balancing work, life, and training to experienced competitors chasing bigger results, the common thread is not one level of performance.
It is the willingness to learn, to apply, and to grow.
What athletes often gain through this work
-
More consistency and less second-guessing
-
Better race execution and steadier decisions under pressure
-
Stronger fueling and recovery habits
-
More confidence, self-trust, and calm when the plan changes
-
A clearer understanding of what they are doing and why
-
Growth not only as athletes, but as people
From a Lab member:
"As an ultra trail endurance runner, the Endurance Coaching Lab is an important asset that helps me understand why trail running is about much more than just running.
This coaching gives me essential knowledge about the principles behind this complex sport, allowing me to quickly realign when needed.
The greatest benefit of this coaching is the motivation it gives me to keep going and to adapt my training program despite obstacles and more difficult days. Consistency is the key to success.
What I am becoming: A more complete athlete, constantly evolving, with the ability to last over time.
Whether live or through the replay, I never miss one."

Frequently Asked Questions
1. I’m a trail runner, but not an ultra runner. Is the Lab still for me?
Yes. You do not need to be an ultra runner to belong here.
The Lab is for both trail runners and ultra athletes. Whether you are running shorter trail distances, building toward longer events, or already deep into ultras, the goal is the same: to help you train smarter, understand your training more deeply, and keep growing as an athlete.
2. Is this for beginners or only experienced athletes?
Both. The Lab is designed for athletes at different stages, from newer trail runners to more experienced competitors. What matters most is not your level, but your willingness to learn, apply, and engage with the process.
3. Do I need to race to benefit from the Lab?
No. You do not need to be racing to benefit. If trail running matters to you — whether as a challenge, an adventure, a personal practice, or a performance pursuit — the Lab can support you.
4. What if I cannot attend live?
That is completely fine. Replays are posted within 24 hours, and you have access to the full Lab library inside the member area. You can also submit your questions in advance through the question form.
5. What makes this different from following free content online?
Free content can be useful, but it often leaves you alone with the hardest part: figuring out what applies to you and what matters most right now. The Lab gives you ongoing coaching context, trail- and ultra-specific guidance, and a place to keep learning in a more focused, practical way.
6. an I join if I already have a coach?
Yes — depending on what you want from the Lab. Some athletes join because they want added perspective, education, and a broader coaching lens around training, racing, recovery, and decision-making.
The Lab is not meant to interfere with a good coaching relationship, but to offer another layer of support and learning. If you already have a coach you trust, the Lab can still be a valuable complement.
7. Can I join if I already have a training plan?
Yes — absolutely.
A plan can give you structure, but it does not always give you understanding. Many athletes come into the Lab with a plan and still need help interpreting sessions, adjusting when life changes the picture, or adapting workouts to their actual context, equipment, terrain, or experience level.
The Lab helps you better understand what your training is asking of you, how to make smart modifications when needed, and how to get more out of the plan you already have.
8. What if I understand English, but feel more comfortable asking questions in French?
That is absolutely okay.
The calls are led in English, but you are very welcome to ask questions and express yourself in French if that feels easier or more natural. I am fully bilingual, and I want you to feel supported in the language that works best for you.
9. What kind of questions can I bring to the Lab?
Anything related to your endurance life: training structure, race prep, pacing, fueling, strength work, mindset, recovery, and the real-life decisions that shape your progress. The more context you provide, the more useful the coaching can be.
10. Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. The Lab is a monthly membership, and you can cancel anytime. If you cancel, your access remains active until the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again.
Why Now?
Because waiting rarely creates more clarity on its own.
For many trail runners and ultra athletes, it usually means another stretch of training spent piecing things together, hesitating around key decisions, or trying to solve nuanced problems with broad advice.
And in trail running and ultras, small decisions add up.
How you pace.
How you fuel.
How you recover.
How you adapt when life changes the plan.
How well you understand what your training is really building toward.
The Lab is designed to support the process before things feel urgent, messy, or close to race day.
Because the athletes who keep progressing are not only the ones who work hard.
They are the ones who keep learning, adjusting, and understanding what matters while there is still time to apply it.
Ready to stop piecing it all together alone?
You do not need more noise.
You do not need more generic advice.
And you do not need to wait until things feel urgent to get support.
What you may need is a place to keep learning, asking better questions, and making smarter decisions as a trail runner or ultra athlete.
That is what the Endurance Coaching Lab is here for.
A place to build judgment.
A place to deepen your understanding.
A place to become more capable in how you train, adapt, and move forward over time.
If that is the kind of support you have been looking for, the Lab is here for you.
